Travel around on Gotland

To travel around on Gotland is interesting, not only because during only one day you can see almost all of the varieties of nature existing in Sweden represented. Gotland does not offer mountains and mountain hills but if you are looking for the dizzy feeling of standing on a cliff and look out over the scenery, there are steep cliffs with a turbulent sea below.

Getting between different places on the island is not complicated. Most of the roads are covered with asphalt, so even drivers that do not want to get their cars dirty turn out on the small winding roads, with a calm conscious.

If you want to get around on Gotland with your own powers, there are excellent biking roads leading out of Visby. These are also used by people with in-lines.

Bus
There are several bus companies on Gotland, which both rent out busses with a driver or arranges guided tours around the island.

Taxi
In Visby it as almost never hard to get a Taxi. The exception might be during the summer, when there are not enough cars even though taxis come over from the main land to help out.
